What is the maximum age for playing children in the space?

We have had private parties with guests who are 6-8 and older and they have fun. Our space is designed for children 6 and under and there may be limitations to what the older children can do. Many teenage cousins and friends enjoy our comfortable seating or hanging out in our sensory room.


Can I change my package choice as my party gets closer?

YES! You can book now and pay your deposit and then alter your party as the date gets closer. You can upgrade to another package or add items on until 8 days before the party. Due to shipping delays occurring frequently, the closer it is to your party date, the harder it may be to accommodate some requests. If you want to remove items in your package, you will need to let us know 4 weeks out so that we don’t order unnecessary items.


Can I pick the GentleHands Party and customize it with add ons?

Yes! When you book your party you will see a list of add ons available for each package level. If you don’t see something you are interested in, contact us and we will see if it is something we can do. You can add food, decor, and extra time to any package.


Can I bring in my own food, decorations, and other supplies?

Yes! For any package you select if you want to bring your own items or add on to the items provided, you are free to do so. We do not allow alcohol to be brought, consumed, or served on our premises though.


How much time do I have to set up for our party?

For GentleHands parties, you have 20 minutes before your party start time to set up. A party assistant will be present to help with your set up and a majority of parties are able to be set up easily within this time window. For Helping Hands, All Hands on Desk, or parties with a Decoration Package add on, you have 10 minutes to set up before your party time so that we can complete your decorations prior to your arrival.

Please do not arrive before your set up time begins so that we can complete our party preparation tasks in the most efficient way possible. If you need additional accommodations, please call or email, extra time is available for purchase in some cases depending on other bookings.


What is the most people that can attend the party?

Our full facility capacity is 45 people to safely be in the space. This can be a mix of adults or children. Each of our party options is private use of the space so you have full usage of the capacity.


When is my Party balance due?

Party balances are due 7 days before your event. Any additional add ons added within the 7 day window will need to be paid while adding them on.


what happens if I need to Cancel/Reschedule my Party?


CANCELLATIONS

  • Client Cancellation received at least 14 days before event date- Client receives full refund minus $150 non-refundable deposit.

  • Client Cancellation received less than 7 days before event date- (and GentleHands remains available for parties) – no refund.

RESCHEDULING (one-time rescheduling, must occur within 2 month of the original event date)

  • Client Reschedule Request received less than 7 days from event date - Amount paid is non-refundable, but fully transferrable to be applied to a different date within 2 months of original planned date OR placed on a gift card that can be applied to any purchases with GentleHands.


Can I bring in my own party planner, decorator, activity providers, or caterers?

Yes, on a case by case basis. We do require advanced notice so we can accommodate everyone’s needs as smoothly as possible. Unless otherwise discussed, your set up time will remain the 20 minutes before your party only. We are unable to direct your services in your absence and you must be present for set ups from outside companies to begin.

Please note: Any businesses providing services in our space must have appropriate business general liability insurance, proof of which must be submitted to us 3 weeks in advance of your party. Examples of this include but are not limited to face painters, character actors, event planners, decorators, balloon garland installers, and caterers.

We also require a site visit or phone call with your outside providers at least 1 week prior to the party to make sure they are aware of necessary measurements and policies. We recommend you purchase extra time for your party if you have additional services being provided that will make your set up time longer or need time after your party leaves.
